2.A.7 Courtyard of the Podesta

This is a series of blogs about my husband and I travelling to San Gimignano, Province of Sienna, Region of Tuscany. This province is off the beaten path and still glad that this was scheduled in our travels.

Courtyard of the Podestà (meaning ‘Chief Magistrate’ or ‘Governor’). It was built in 1325 on an elegant brick colonnade on which rises a floor with big trifora (three-arched) windows.
