3.A.2. Faraglioni of Capri, Italy

Soon after, by boat we began to see the dramatic Faraglioni three rock formations which jut out from the Mediterranean just off the island’s coast. Our skipper sailed right through the stone archway of the Faraglione di Mezzo. Very impressive forms of limestone crags called sea stacks. Not to mention the color of the Mediterranean sea a sapphire-emerald combined.

Legend holds that couples who kiss while passing through will be lucky in love…so, me and my husband snuggled up.

“There they are, not painted but natural, those famous gothic cathedrals that proudly raise for the sea their spires and their arrows.” -Unknown
